Rate: $25 – $28 Location: Washington, D.C. Office Work Model:
Hybrid — In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote Monday
and Friday The Digital Analytics Intern will support NRF’s
Marketing & Technology teams by helping establish, refine, and
operationalize unified measurement across NRF’s marketing
ecosystem. This role focuses on helping NRF enable accurate,
consistent tracking across marketing efforts, web channels, and
other digital touchpoints, primarily within Google Analytics 4
(GA4) but also could include other sources from our marketing
technology stack. This role requires a self-starter with prior
hands-on experience implementing or maintaining digital analytics.
The ideal candidate brings curiosity, strong problem-solving
skills, and with guidance, the ability to independently figure out
how to configure tracking, validate data, and translate insights
into recommendations. Essential Functions With oversight and
guidance, independently set up, validate, and refine GA4 tracking,
including events, parameters, naming conventions, audiences, and
conversions Assist in unifying analytics across channels including:
· Paid Media: Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads · Owned Media: Email,
Website, Landing Pages · Earned Media: SEO, organic search,
referral traffic Ensure accurate, consistent, and thorough data
capture across all NRF marketing platforms and customer-facing
digital touchpoints. Support proper UTM governance, attribution
consistency, and channel taxonomy Develop and maintain reports,
dashboards and automated reports in GA4, Looker Studio, Tableau, or
similar platforms to track: · Lead generation · Content engagement
& topic performance · Event registrations · Audience behavior
across channels Conduct ad-hoc analyses to uncover insights around
audience engagement, channel performance, and opportunities for
optimization Perform analytics QA, including event firing
validation, troubleshooting misfiring tags, verifying attribution,
and documenting fixes Prepare clear insights that explain what
happened, why it matters, and what actions are recommended
Collaborate across Marketing, Events, Digital, Tech, and Membership
teams to ensure measurement supports organizational goals Assist
with SEO analytics, including Search Console and content topic
performance Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Minimum
Qualifications Current undergraduate student with at least
sophomore standing, pursuing a degree in Marketing Analytics, Data
Science, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing,
Computer Science, or related field Prior hands-on experience with
GA4 or similar analytics tools (via internships, co-ops,
coursework, freelance, or personal projects) Experience with Google
Tag Manager or other tagging platforms Ability to independently
research solutions, test configurations, troubleshoot tracking
issues, and self-direct work with minimal guidance Familiarity with
cross-channel digital marketing (paid media, email, SEO, content
analytics) and key performance metrics Experience building reports
or dashboards in GA4, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar tools
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and comfort
working through ambiguous technical challenges Excellent written
and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate
technical results for non-technical stakeholders Strong
organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications Rising
undergraduate senior or current graduate student Exposure to
broader marketing technology ecosystems or data governance concepts
Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and resourcefulness when
