Description The Senior Preconstruction Manager | Herndon, VA | Hybrid will be responisible for: Leading preconstruction efforts for commercial and multifamily projects from conceptual design through project handoff Collaborating with developers, architects, engineers, and internal teams to align design with budget and feasibility goals Developing and managing budgets, cost estimates, and value engineering options throughout the design phases Performing quantity take-offs and pricing across all CSI divisions, identifying materials, systems, and scopes with cost or schedule impacts Preparing and maintaining preconstruction schedules, including design milestones, permitting, bidding, and procurement activities Coordinating subcontractor bidding and procurement, analyzing bids, and recommending qualified trade partners Mentoring junior staff and leading internal estimating teams, while providing technical guidance and training Facilitating constructability reviews and identifying risks, conflicts, or opportunities for schedule or cost improvements Partnering with project executives and field teams to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction Tracking market trends, construction costs, and material availability to support accurate forecasting Reviewing and negotiating preconstruction agreements, scopes of work, and general conditions with clients and subcontractors Representing the company in meetings with owners, developers, and consultants, and maintaining effective communication Profile The Senior Preconstruction Manager | Herndon, VA | Hybrid will have: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred 8 years of experience in estimating or preconstruction, including 3 years in a senior or leadership capacity Demonstrated success managing commercial and/or multifamily construction projects Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (e.g., WinEst, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam) and scheduling tools (e.g.,Primavera P6, MS Project) Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities Skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Job Offer The Senior Preconstruction Manager | Herndon, VA | Hybrid will receive: Competitive base salary based on experience Annual performance-based bonus opportunities Hybrid schedule with 2 remote workdays per week 401(k) plan with company matching 3 weeks of paid time off, plus company holidays Company-provided phone and laptop Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
