Job Description:
OverviewThe Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist I
supports the planning, coordination, and execution of learning
initiatives across Goodwill of Greater Washington. This role
ensures that training logistics run smoothly, assists with the
administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), and
provides exceptional support to internal stakeholders. Working
closely with the Director of Learning & Development and other team
members, the Coordinator plays a key role in promoting a positive
learning culture and supporting team member development.This
position is responsible for behaving in accordance with divisional

Interpersonal SavvyEssential Duties and Responsibilities:---
Provides day-to-day administrative support to the Director of
Learning & Development and other L&D staff.--- Serves as a
primary point of contact for team members regarding general L&D
inquiries.--- Coordinates logistics for virtual, in-person, and
hybrid training sessions (e.g., scheduling, invites, room bookings,
technology setup, materials preparation).--- Maintains and updates
the learning calendar and training participation records.---
Assists with LMS administration, including uploading course
materials, enrolling users, and generating basic reports.---
Manages L&D data and assists with preparing reporting on
L&D programs--- Supports course evaluations and post-training
surveys, collecting feedback to improve the learner experience.---
Assists in research and sourcing of new training content and
external providers.--- Creates and maintains learning program
documents and resources.--- Provides tracking and communication
regarding L&D programs (e.g. language learning).--- Conducts
peer reviews of developed courses to support learning quality while
gaining skills in learning design and development.--- Is prepared
to take on stretch assignments to develop limited courses to gain
skills in learning design and development.--- Stays informed on
L&D best practices and shares insights with the team.--- Other
duties as assigned by the Director of Learning &
Development.Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no
supervisory responsibilitiesQualificationsRequired
Qualifications:--- High school diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years
of administrative or coordination experience, preferably in HR,
education, or L&D.--- Excellent organizational and time
management skills.--- Strong interpersonal and written
communication skills.--- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple
tasks in a fast-paced environment.--- Proficiency with Microsoft
Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).--- Ability to work
independently and with a team.--- Ability to work in a fast-paced
environment and to prioritize and work effectively on multiple
tasks simultaneously.--- Ability to maintain confidentiality of
client information.--- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred Qualifications:--- Associate's or
Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, communications, or
a related field.--- Experience working with a Learning Management
System.--- Familiarity with adult learning principles or
instructional design.--- Experience working in nonprofit, workforce
development, or human services.--- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
strongly preferred.--- Experience working with people with
disadvantages and disabilities.
