Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking an Army Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work in the Pentagon, 3-4 days a week, with our current team in support of the Department of Army G3 (DAG3) development of the latest Force Generation, Modernization and Readiness policy, process, and automation.

What you will do

• Provide Army subject matter expertise supporting HQ, Department of the Army and various Army functional proponents to develop and implement Readiness and Modernization initiatives;
• Operate within existing Army processes, using current IT solutions, to develop products in support of the client's Modernization, Readiness, and Force Generation initiatives;
• Externally Forward-facing individual possessing experience integrating quickly and efficiently with external Army entities to coordinate with our internal technical teams
• Internal - Technical & Functional Levels
  • Support customer needs as requested
  • Able to work independently and self-identify tasks
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to research and evaluate new concepts and processes to improve performance What you need to have
    • Clearance: able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
    • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience, or;
      • Associates Degree and 12+ years of experience, or;
      • Master's Degree and 8+ years of experience, or;
      • PhD and 5+ years of experience, or;
      • (in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 14+ years of relevant experience)
      • Strong Army or other military branch functional knowledge
      • Strong understanding of Army (or other military branch) process (specifically Readiness, Force Structure, Equipment, and/or Personnel) and/or systems.
      • Operations, planning, training/resources experience
      • Ability to translate functional needs to other team members
      • Strong Communications Skills What we'd like you to have
        • Recent, relevant military experience (Army preferred) in Force Management, Readiness, or Strategy;
