Job Description:
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Expert Modernization
Software Engineer to join our dynamic IT & Cybersecurity team. The
ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in software
engineering to drive modernization initiatives across a range of
applications and platforms, contributing to the integration and
advancement of advanced technology systems. As part of our
commitment to innovation, ethics, diversity, and teamwork, you will
play a key role in shaping the technological landscape to enhance
our global security solutions. Design, develop, and deploy software
solutions aimed at modernizing and optimizing key business
applications and systems. Evaluate existing software systems and
propose detailed plans for modernization, including transitioning
to cloud infrastructures and introducing new programming languages.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity,
product management, and operations to ensure seamless and secure
integration of modern technologies. Lead initiatives to adopt
industry best practices and new technologies to enhance system
performance and sustainability. Provide mentorship and expert
advice to junior software engineers, promoting a culture of
continuous learning and development within the team. Proficiency in
modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, and
JavaScript Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google
Cloud) Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and
methodologies like Agile and DevOps Excellent problem-solving
skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative
