Job Title: Sr. IT Services Support Technician Location: Rockville, Maryland Type: Contract Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite Contract staff must have own reliable transportation and mobile communication; able to travel to numerous work sites within Montgomery County or work-related locations; able to lift, transport, and carry up to 50 pounds. Scope of Work: Government client is seeking a highly skilled contractor to assist in resolving the approximately 10,000 help desk tickets received each year. This position would join the Desktop Support Team, which is responsible for the bulk of touch-labor support for nearly 3,000 staff spread over about 50 locations. General tasks include: Advanced level desktop support including Operating System (OS) imaging, hardware, software, mobile device deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, inventory, computer relocation, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and internal applications support, and other duties as assigned. At least (5) years experience in: Windows OS Administration: Windows10 Enterprise, ActiveSync and various VDI solutions. Desktop support including Hardware/Software troubleshooting in Windows Active Directory and enterprise domain environments. Knowledge in troubleshooting enterprise printers Knowledge in rapid deployments, OS imaging, mobile devices, MS Office365 Suite familiarity and various COTS software packages. Virtual Private Network support. Many County government employees are teleworking, so the contractor should be familiar and able to provide remote support using telephone and/or MS Teams. Education: BS or BA degree (in a technical field is a plus).
