Occupational Therapist Location: Bowie, MD Agency: Bluebix Health Inc Pay: $1,841 to $1,952 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 7 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Shift: 8:00 PM to 4:30 PM Contract Weeks: 14 Guaranteed Hours: 35 Days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri Job Summary The Occupational Therapist (OT) evaluates and treats patients to help them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. The OT works with individuals affected by injury, illness, disability, or aging to promote independence, safety, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, and daily functioning Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and eating Train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Document evaluations, treatments, and progress in EMR/EHR systems Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy Active OT license in the state of practice Certification by NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) preferred Current BLS certification Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
