Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Washington, DC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,041 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20007! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have active DC RN Licensure or proof of pending status Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment. Description: This Registered Nurse will care for admitted patients with varying diagnoses while they are in the emergency department awaiting bed placement on an inpatient unit. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions and managing care plans. Experience with telemetry and management of dysrhythmias is essential. The RN will administer medication and perform phlebotomy as required. Isolation precautions and PPE adherence are necessary for all patient interactions. Flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity is required. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams are crucial for success in this role. Candidates should be familiar with charting systems and demonstrate proficiency in using electronic medical records.
