role: Precision is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of
Nursing (DON) to lead all clinical operations across our
Orthopedics Clinic. This is a key leadership role responsible for
ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting clinical staff, and
maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient?centered environment.
The DON oversees nursing operations, supervises clinical staff,
manages workflow, and ensures compliance with all regulatory and
accreditation standards. This role is ideal for a strong clinical
leader who thrives in a fast?paced surgical setting and is
passionate about quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Leadership & Clinical Oversight Oversee day?to?day clinical
operations across Pre?Op, PACU, Post?Op, and the OR Supervise and
support nursing staff and technicians, ensuring high?quality
patient care Manage nurse schedules and adjust staffing as needed
Serve as the primary point of contact for anesthesia resources and
staffing Conduct timely, productive staff performance reviews
Escalate personnel concerns to Human Resources when appropriate
Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional work
environment Demonstrate flexibility with schedule changes,
early/late shifts, and operational needs Patient Care Management
Oversee patient admission, comprehensive pre?operative care,
immediate post?operative care, and stabilization for discharge
Ensure holistic preparation for surgery, including education,
psychosocial support, and coordination with family/escorts Monitor
and support post?operative recovery, ensuring patients meet
discharge criteria Provide guidance on clinical decision?making,
assessments, and escalation of concerns to anesthesia or surgeons
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
Maintain patient safety as the highest priority and respond
appropriately in emergencies Operational Excellence Review daily
and next?day surgery schedules, including preference cards Monitor
schedule changes, delays, cancellations, and communicate updates to
staff, reception, surgeons, and patients Ensure adequate supplies,
equipment readiness, and efficient case turnover Maintain
familiarity with the center’s policies, procedures, and regulatory
requirements Team Collaboration & Communication Participate as an
active member of clinical team Foster strong interdepartmental
relationships to ensure continuity of care Communicate pertinent
information to nurses, providers, and administrative leadership
Contribute to team morale and a positive departmental culture
Quality Improvement & Compliance Lead and participate in ongoing
quality improvement initiatives Utilize critical thinking and
problem?solving skills to identify opportunities for improvement
Perform and document daily assignments, including maintaining a
clean and safe work environment Maintain current CPR and ACLS
certifications and ensure staff compliance Qualifications Active RN
license in good standing Previous ASC, perioperative, or surgical
services leadership experience preferred Strong clinical assessment
skills and knowledge of pre?op, intra?op, and post?op workflows
Excellent communication, leadership, and team?building abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast?paced environment
