Job Description:

Travel Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) – Evening Shift | 8-Week Contract Location: Towson, MD Shift: 5x8s, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Every Third Weekend | Key Responsibilities: Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (including IUSS and steam sterilizers) Process specialty instruments and scopes, including colonoscopes, EGD, TEE probes, and urology scopes Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and proper labeling Maintain detailed documentation of equipment processing and sterilization results Build and distribute case carts based on surgical schedule Comply with hospital infection control practices and safety protocols Float to similar areas within specialty as needed Work every third weekend and required holidays as scheduled Qualifications: 2 years of recent experience in sterile processing (will consider candidates with Certification required: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA BLS certification preferred Experience with EPIC charting preferred.
