Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a RN *Clinical Educator Nursing* to join our team supporting the Behavioral Health department. This role is full-time, M-F, typical office hours(with an occasional off shift variable night)*.*

*Responsibilities: *
* Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess the competency of new nursing staff members while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.
* Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for both new and experienced team members.
* Prepares annual self-development plans, sets professional goals and seek opportunities for achieving them.
* Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.

*Requirements:*
* *Hours*: *full-time, M-F* (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)
* *Education*: Master's Degree or BSN and enrolled in Master's program upon start. If RN has a BSN and enrolled in Master's program, RN must meet with their Nurse Leader within 3 months to conduct the following:
* Provide a written plan with anticipated Masters completion date
* Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses
* Complete Masters within 3 years of start date.
* *Experience*: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor
* *Certification*: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License

Pay: $48.00 - $78.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
