Job Description:
Overview: SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia’s Best
Places to Work, is seeking a Navy Weapons System Model Based
Systems Engineer. This position is for an engineer to work as part
of a team performing model based ssytems engineering and/or mission
thread analysis. The focus of the MBSE task is modeling of the
system, tying the design into the requirements, and helping
establish a robust digital engineering environment. The mission
thread task involves learning and modeling concepts so that
decision makers can better understand capabilities, thus empowering
them to make programmatic decisions involving the weapons system.
Clearance: An Interim Secret Clearance is required for this
position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security
investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for
access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to
obtain a clearance. Requirements: A B.S. in a STEM discipline and
an interim secret clearance are minumim criteria for consideration.
Responsibilities: Work as part of a team to develop models of a
tactical Navy weapons system, primarily using Cameo Actively
participate in meetings, some of which will be classified Follow
established work prcesses to incorporate updated models Perform
research and analysis on complex issues (example: how to link
requiremetns in DOORS to architectures in Cameo and how ot get
changes in Cameo back into DOORS) Conduct independent research on
emerging tools, applications, and plug-ins for to support the
expansion of our digital engineering solution Provide well written
and esily comprehensible instructions to peers on how to perform
tasks Evaulate and provide inputs to kill chain analysis Preferred
Skills and Experience: Proficient with Cameo or MagicDraw
Experience with DOORS is advantageous but not required Concrete
analytical skills Demonstrated experience researching solutions to
complex problems Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is
determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to,
the candidate’s experience, education, training, security
clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as
well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract
specific requirements. The projected annual compensation range for
this position is $72,000 - $140,000 (USD) depending on experience
and expertise level. This estimate reflects the standard salary
range for this position and is just one component of the total
