This position requires a current US Government Secret Clearance.Must live within commuting distance and be able to work onsite 2-3 days per week at Military Sealift Command in Norfolk, Virginia.Meet the TeamOur Consulting Engineers are an integral part of the Customer Experience (CX) team delivering Business Critical Services to our customers. We combine Cisco Analytics and Knowledge with outstanding technical expertise and consulting to drive value, innovation, and adoption in our customers' networks. We help reduce risk, foster innovation, and enhance networks to meet business objectives. We act as trusted advisors, helping customers understand their networks, mitigate risks, and leverage technology. We work closely with Cisco Engineering to advocate for innovation and share upcoming technologies with our customers.Your ImpactAs a Consulting Engineer, you will help transform network architectures for our customers. You will work directly with clients, gaining exposure to their networks and collaborating on projects that impact veterans and military service members. Your ideas and perspectives are valued. You will work on network infrastructures and deliver solutions across data, security, mobility, and cloud domains.Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of relevant networking experience.
  • 8 years of supporting the United States government - Department of Defense.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent (Routing/Switching).Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience delivering Cisco standard methodologies within customer infrastructure.
    • Ability to lead or guide teams of Cisco, Customer, and Partner members in resolving complex network issues.
    • High-level crisis management skills, proactive issue anticipation, and resolution.
    • Strong communication, consulting, and customer relationship skills.
    • Ability to articulate a compelling vision that inspires change.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
