Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This position is for a districtwide itinerant teacher serving students who are visually impaired, covering grades K-12. The role requires a Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) educator licensure and involves working across multiple school locations within the district. This is a full-time, onsite position with a 32.5-hour work week. Key Qualifications: Valid Texas TVI educator license Experience working with students visually impaired, across grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 Ability to deliver itinerant services effectively across multiple schools within the district Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and educational staff Location: Richmond, TX Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students in grades K-12 on a districtwide basis Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student Travel to various school sites within the district to deliver services and monitor student progress Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state requirements Benefits and Perks: Full-time contract position Work onsite with direct student interaction Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational experiences Qualified candidates with a Texas TVI certification and a commitment to supporting visually impaired students are encouraged to apply for this itinerant teaching role.
