Client Details Our client is a family-owned construction and real estate development firm with a strong focus on multifamily projects along the East Coast. Their portfolio includes large-scale developments, typically 150 units and valued at over $40 million, all built in-house. With more than 5,000 units completed and another 1,000 currently in development, they continue to experience steady growth. To support this expansion, they're looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their Maryland office. This person will oversee multifamily construction projects across the DMV region . Description The Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - MD, VA will be responsible for: Manage all phases of ground-up multifamily construction projects from pre-construction through closeout Coordinate with internal development, design, and property management teams to ensure alignment across all phases Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work Oversee subcontractor selection, bidding, and contract negotiation Monitor daily construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications Lead weekly project meetings and provide regular progress updates to leadership Review and approve change orders, RFIs, and submittals Ensure adherence to local building codes, permitting processes, and inspections Resolve on-site issues and delays proactively to keep projects on track Support project turnover and transition to property management upon completion Profile The Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - MD, VA will have: 5 years of experience in multifamily construction project management (ground-up preferred) Experience managing projects valued at $20M Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore), and budgeting tools Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) Experience working with in-house development teams a plus Job Offer The Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - MD, VA will receive: competitive base salary commensurate with experience discretionary bonus medical, dental, vision life insurance 401k match PTO tuition reimbursement MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
