As a Tax Staff Accountant, youll play a key role in delivering high-quality tax services to our diverse client base. We offer a hybrid work environment, requiring three in-office days a week in our Fairfax office. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing federal and multistate tax returns for individuals, partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, nonprofits, and trust and estates Identifying tax planning opportunities and conducting research to support client needs Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a primary point of contact Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously and meeting deadlines efficiently Collaborating with team members to ensure project status is communicated effectively Delivering high-quality work while staying mindful of time budgets Qualified candidates will have: Recent public accounting experience in a CPA firm A Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Completion of 150 credit hours OR plans to meet CPA eligibility requirements Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Solid communication skills, both written and verbal A proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment An active PTIN, or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date Why Thompson Greenspon?
