Job Description:
Beacon Hill has partnered with a locally based non-profit
organization in the search for a Staff Accountant to join their
growing team. This role will report directly to the controller and
will play a key role in supporting the month-end process.
Candidates should have a strong foundation in both AP and AR with
prior experience reconciling GL accounts. This is a hybrid role
that will require candidates to be within the DC-metro area. If

entries with accuracy and timeliness Reconcile general ledger
accounts and research discrepancies as needed Assist with the
preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain and update schedules for prepaid expenses, accruals, and
fixed assets Support the monthly close process by adhering to
established timelines and checklists Analyze financial data and
provide variance explanations to management Assist in preparing
documentation for internal and external audits Ensure compliance
with company policies, procedures, and GAAP standards Collaborate
with other departments to gather and validate financial data
Perform other accounting tasks and participate in special projects
