Maternity/Paternity paid leave Job Details We are seeking an
experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting
operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting,
compliance with GAAP, and support for project accounting. This role
requires construction accounting knowledge and the ability to
collaborate cross-functionally with project management teams. The
Accounting Manager will work closely with the Chief Financial
Officer. Responsibilities: Oversee job cost tracking and ensure
accurate financial reporting across all projects. Manage the
general ledger, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
Lead the monthly close and reconciliation process. Produce monthly,
quarterly, and annual financial reporting in coordination with the
CFO. Drive the year-end close and support annual audits in
coordination with external auditors. Handle monthly, quarterly, and
annual sales and use tax filings. Prepare and file business
licenses, gross receipts reports, and annual reports. Act as backup
for payroll processing and administer company credit card accounts.
Process check runs and manage non–job costed accounts payable.
Assist with the annual budget process. Maintain and enhance
internal financial controls and drive continuous process
improvements. Play a hands-on role in improving systems and
procedures as the company continues to scale. Qualifications: 5
years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the
construction, engineering, or architecture industry. A bachelor’s
degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Proficiency with
construction accounting software, such as Sage 300 and GCPay
(experience with similar tools is also acceptable). Strong
understanding of % complete, revenue, and WIP reporting. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work
with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other internal
teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to
strategize and implement solutions quickly. Must have permanent
